Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Christ Church Episcopal walked away with it. They put the hurt on McBee with a sharp 43-21 victory on Friday. Christ Church Episcopal pushed the score to 43-14 by the end of the third, a deficit McBee cut but never quite recovered from.
Christ Church Episcopal relied on the efforts of Tucker Hendrix, who threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and Jackson Repp, who picked up 182 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Repp was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 63 yards.
Christ Church Episcopal's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Patrick Mcmaster and Jake Good who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Blackville-Hilda got themselves on the board against Wagener-Salley on Friday, but Wagener-Salley never followed suit. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 28-0 victory over the War Eagles. The win was familiar territory for Blackville-Hilda who now have three in a row.

Christ Church Episcopal has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-2 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-10 Ridge Spring-Monetta and 2-8 Ware Shoals (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 39.6% over those games). As for Blackville-Hilda, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
