The King's Academy Knights have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Head-Royce by a score of 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryce Sherman, who scored 15 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Caedmon Dickson, who scored 17 points.
King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Head-Royce, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
King's Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Harker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harker is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Head-Royce and Bentley will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bentley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
