The Bergenfield Bears won the last time they faced the Orange Tornadoes, and things went their way on Saturday too. Bergenfield secured a 28-24 W over Orange.
It was another big night for Gabe Perez, who rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 58 yards and a touchdown. Aj Martinez got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Bergenfield's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Orange, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.
Bergenfield will head out on the road to face off against Chatham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chatham will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Orange does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
