There's no place like home for Mount St. Mary Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars a 6-0 shutout on Friday. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024.

The win got Mount St. Mary Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount St. Mary Academy will venture away from home to face off against Gill St. Bernard's at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, they will square off against Payne Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
