If the Southwest Christian Academy Lions were riding high off their 60-20 takedown of the Arkansas Christian Academy Knights last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Southwest Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 59-24 loss at the hands of Lamar. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southwest Christian Academy has scored all season.
It was another big night for Ben Noonan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds for Lamar. Noonan set a new season high mark in assists with six. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Green, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Southwest Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lamar, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Abundant Life at 4:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Lamar will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Tournament Opponent on December 28th.
