Dominican got themselves on the board against Milwaukee King on Wednesday, but Milwaukee King never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Generals. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Lulu Sims made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Murray, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Cate Wahlen was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Dominican always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .552 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Dominican pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 9.6 runs thus far. As for Milwaukee King, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dominican will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Catherine's at 4:30 p.m. on May 6. As for Milwaukee King, they will head out to square off against Riverside University/Meir at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside University/Meir has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.3 runs per game on average), something Milwaukee King will no doubt try to take advantage of.
