Lewis Posts Huge Game in 33-30 Defeat
Starting off the list is Ontario Christian's Zander Lewis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lewis rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
On the season, Lewis has averaged 31.9 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 90.38 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 178.5 rushing yards.

Things weren't looking good for Capistrano Valley Christian heading into Friday's tilt with Ontario Christian(they were ranked 318 places lower in California), but Joshua Monroe wasn't phased. Monroe did his part (and then some), rushing for 166 yards on only 15 carries, while also catching a touchdown for the 'W'. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.

Jones must have Heritage Christian's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Jones last faced the Warriors back in October of 2023, he threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 77 yards on only nine carries.

On Friday, Capistrano Valley Christian got the W thanks in part to Nate Richie playing the best football he has all season. Richie threw for 215 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
