The Weber Warriors will face off against the Bingham Miners at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Weber has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 8th.
Weber's tournament run continued when they took on Skyridge on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-5.
Aliya Rhees led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Dixon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Bingham put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Providence Hall. The Miners were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Patriots. With that victory, the Miners brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Brooklynn Fogg was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Shyann Banasky was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Bingham hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 5-1-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Weber's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Bingham, their win bumped their record up to 10-7-2.
Weber's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bingham, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Weber continue to outrun the ball?
Weber might still be hurting after the 12-6 loss they got from Bingham in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
