Calvary Christian Academy let Jesse Egan and Levi Salmon run wild. Egan got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Salmon went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave Salmon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Wilson, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.
Calvary Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bristol unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 4-1 to Dock Mennonite. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.
Bristol saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddy Diaz, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Calvary Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Bristol, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Calvary Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bristol struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
