The Trinity Lutheran Cougars and the Clarksville Generals will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Trinity Lutheran was able to grind out a solid win over West Washington, taking the game 58-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Lutheran.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hudson Lang, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Pottschmidt, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, everything went Clarksville's way against Eastern on Saturday as Clarksville made off with a 56-36 victory. The win was just what Clarksville needed coming off of a 70-48 loss in their prior contest.
Clarksville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kevin Smith out in front who scored 21 points. Jacob Seward was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Trinity Lutheran's victory bumped their season record to 2-3 while West Washington's loss dropped theirs to 1-3.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's matchup: Trinity Lutheran have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 5.6 threes per game. It's a different story for Clarksville, though, as they've been averaging only 5.5 per game. Given Trinity Lutheran's sizeable advantage in that area, Clarksville will need to find a way to close that gap.
