Softball Recap: Columbus Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Columbus had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 6-15 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Belleville Wildcats by a score of 7-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 on May 5th.

As for Belleville, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly four runs.

For Belleville's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryn Prochaska, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Another was Jocelyn Raven, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

As of now, neither Columbus nor Belleville have any future games scheduled.
