The Nebo Crossing Academy Bulldogs were the 65-59 winner over the Christian Family Academy Fire when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Nebo Crossing Academy fell 51-40 to Christian Family Academy on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nebo Crossing Academy has scored all season.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Grubbs, who scored 11 points along with four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for Grubbs. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Baker, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Nebo Crossing Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Christian Family Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Nebo Crossing Academy will head out on the road to face off against Pinnacle Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pinnacle Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday. Christian Family Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Community Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Community Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Christian Family Academy is ranked 112th).
