Softball Recap: Menlo-Atherton Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Notre Dame, Menlo-Atherton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the El Camino Colts as they made off with a 16-9 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Juliana Pandolfo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Loose, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Menlo-Atherton's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for El Camino, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menlo-Atherton will square off against Sequoia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ravens will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for El Camino, they will challenge Terra Nova at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.67 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of.
