The Calvary Christian Cougars waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. Everything went their way against Villa Madonna as Calvary Christian made off with a 58-38 victory. This was a revenge matchup for Calvary Christian, as the team was forced to settle for a 53-34 defeat when these two played two weeks ago.
Despite the loss, Villa Madonna still got an impressive performance from Henry Thole, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Tommy Wenning was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four steals.
Calvary Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-17. As for Villa Madonna, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
Calvary Christian will head out on the road to take on Immaculate Conception Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Villa Madonna, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Leslie County at 2:30 p.m.
