Medina has gone a perfect 10-0 against Albion recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Purple Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Medina will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.
Albion's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Medina hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Newfane on Wednesday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Vinny Gray, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Newfane off the board. Gray has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Aidan Papaj was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Ryan Pegelow was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.
Medina hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Albion hadn't done well against Akron recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Purple Eagles came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 16-12. The game was the first time the Purple Eagles have beaten the Tigers on their field since May 19, 2022.
Victor Snyder was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Albion's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Nathan Gibson, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Medina's record now sits at 14-1. As for Albion, their record is now 9-6.
Everything went Medina's way against Albion when the teams last played back in April, as Medina made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
