Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Robinson Knights walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-64 win over the Spartans on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jordan Mickens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 30 points and nine assists. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Russell, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Robinson and bumps their season record up to 15-12. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.
Robinson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Gibbs on February 10th. Gibbs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 910 points over their last 13 contests. Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
