Richland (Johnstown, Pa.) extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 46-6 victory over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, Pa.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a two-point conversion in the first quarter, the Rams led 39-0 at the half.
Richland grew its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored once in the quarter on a
Tanner Solarczyk touchdown run.
A 22-point first quarter set the table for the Johnstown school, who coasted the rest of the way for the victory.
Shawn Gindlesberger played well for the Rams in the victory. He kicked one field goal and five extra points.
Ligonier Valley's lone touchdown came on a 5-yard run in the third quarter.
Richland went into the matchup giving up only 11.8 points per game. The six points that the Rams ended with were well below their average of 30.1 coming into the game.
