The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory 50-46. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tri-West Hendricks of the 52-33 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Several Bruins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aniyah Anthony, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Mckinzie Wilhoite was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory found their leader in underclassman Robyn Pate, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pate has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nathalie Anderson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Tri-West Hendricks has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-West Hendricks will face off against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, they will head out on the road to take on Bethesda Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bethesda Christian will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
