Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Park City). They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Stansbury Stallions on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Miners, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Royal Matthews was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wesley Dewitt, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Park City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stansbury only posted an OBP of .333.

Park City's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Stansbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Coming up, Park City will venture away from home to take on Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Stansbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
