Basketball Recap: Homedale Piles Up the Points Against Salmon River

Homedale picked up another tournament win on Friday. They blew past the Salmon River Savages, posting a 49-22 win. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Homedale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Stella Heck out in front who posted 13 points. Those 13 points gave Heck a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiana Sorenson, who earned ten points.

The win made it two in a row for Homedale and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Salmon River, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Homedale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-43 victory against Council on the 21st. As for Salmon River, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Garden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
