The Randolph School Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Brewer Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph School is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Randolph School pushed their score all the way to 71 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Kate Duncan Smith DAR by a score of 73-71. Randolph School has not had much luck with Kate Duncan Smith DAR recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Brewer can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past West Point with a 55-49 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Brewer's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while West Point is ranked 129th).
Brewer got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Dunn out in front who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Austyn Holmes, who scored 17 points.
Randolph School's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Brewer, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Randolph School lost to Brewer on the road by a decisive 64-49 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Randolph School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
