Comstock Park is 0-7 against Hopkins since April of 2016 but things could change  on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Vikings  at 4:15  p.m. Comstock Park has given up an average of 13.3  runs per game this season, but Tuesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Comstock Park is headed into Tuesday's   game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game  dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost  16-0 to Fruitport. Considering the last time the Panthers couldn't score was  back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
Meanwhile, Hopkins waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolverines  a   19-0 shutout. Considering the Vikings have won ten matchups by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Hannah Brinks made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Hopkins let  Ava Vanderkolk and  Lyla Reynolds run wild. Vanderkolk  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple, while  Reynolds  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  Vanderkolk has posted since back in June of 2024.  Cami Hibma was another key player,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Hopkins  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .864. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  games.
 Comstock Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hopkins, their win bumped their record up to 12-9-1.
