The Greenfield Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They secured a 56-50 W over Wilson Prep. The win was some much needed relief for Greenfield as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Darcy Dean continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 29 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Avery Williams was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Wilson Prep saw an underclassman step up: Nakiya Boston scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Niiyana Edwards, who scored six points along with three steals.
Greenfield's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Wilson Prep, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Greenfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilson Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP P at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP P has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-5 during that stretch of close contests.
