Baseball Recap: Collegium Charter Comes Up Short

Collegium Charter lost against Westtown back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougar lost 17-8 to Westtown. The Cougar have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fabian Zorilla made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Collegium Charter is 2-1 when Zorilla posts two or more runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Jimmy Parmiter was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Collegium Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Westtown, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collegium Charter will square off against Faith Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Cougar's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westtown, they will face off against Solebury at 12:00 p.m. on the 19th.
