Belleview took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Williston, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rattlers won by a run and slipped past the Red Devils 7-6.
Logan Chen was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Larry Quartararo looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Ja'Mere Frymire was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Driskell, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
