While losing is never fun, Sacramento Country Day can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 930th, while Western Sierra Collegiate Academy is ranked 416th).
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy was led to victory by John Harb and Daniel Vovc. Harb scored 16 points, while Vovc scored 16 points. The match was Harb's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Johnathan Eisenlauer was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Sacramento Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacramento Country Day's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cristo Rey at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Cristo Rey comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
