The DSST: Montview Knights entered their tilt with the Fort Lupton Bluedevils with 15 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 16. DSST: Montview took down the Bluedevils 75-61 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
DSST: Montview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tara Majok, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. Majok hasn't dropped below 13 rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Tegra Kongolo, who scored 21 points along with two steals.
Fort Lupton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Javon Gonzales, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and three steals. Gonzales hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Callahan, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
DSST: Montview's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.9 points per game. As for Fort Lupton, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-2.
DSST: Montview will take on the White Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP Denver Collegiate is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Fort Lupton, they will head out on the road to square off against the Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Arrupe Jesuit focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
