Logan Cella and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
Roy picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Logan Cella. Cella was unstoppable, making 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss). His longest rush was for an incredible 86 yards.
Roy's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Cella and Roy will face off against Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Siaki Fekitoa Turns in Season-Best Effort
Siaki Fekitoa produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bountiful to the win on Friday. Fekitoa rushed for 273 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
If the past is any indication, Fekitoa could be in store for another big game when he takes on Roy on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Fekitoa saw the Royals), he rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Robert Young Dazzles in Roy Victory
Robert Young was instrumental in extending Roy's winning streak to eight on Friday. Young did his part (and then some), rushing for 94 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, while also picking up 64 receiving yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.
For the year, Young has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 53.9 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Woods Cross Gets a Boost from Tapa'atoutai in 12-10 Victory
Viliami Tapa'Atoutai's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 101+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 167 yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.
Woods Cross is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Tapa'Atoutai and Woods Cross will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. on October 17th.

Emerson Geilman Makes It Two for Bountiful
The second Bountiful player making an appearance here is Emerson Geilman, and for good reason. He rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes.
On the year, Geilman has thrown 13 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 202.1 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to six.
