Even though the Big Pine Warriors have not done well against the Mammoth Huskies recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Big Pine enjoyed a cozy 33-14 victory over Mammoth. This was payback for Big Pine, who suffered a 60-50 loss the last time these two teams met.
Big Pine found their leader in underclassman Noah Ericson, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Wil Mairs, who scored 10 points.
Big Pine's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Mammoth, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Big Pine won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sierra Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Mammoth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lone Pine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
