Meanwhile, ASU Prep Poly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sequoia Charter 65-30 at home. The victory was familiar territory for ASU Prep Poly who now have four in a row.
ASU Prep Poly can attribute much of their success to Aidan Collins, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, and CJ Welcome, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Welcome hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Ashton Turner, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mission Heights Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for ASU Prep Poly, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Mission Heights Prep have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 34.1 rebounds per game.
