After two games on the road, Pawnee Heights is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the LaCrosse Leopards at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, things could have been worse for Pawnee Heights, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-33 loss to Hodgeman County.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, LaCrosse's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Central Plains 39-35.
Despite the loss, LaCrosse saw an underclassman step up: Madison Morgan scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Molly Showalter, who scored seven points.
Pawnee Heights' loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for LaCrosse, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Pawnee Heights didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against LaCrosse in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win. Does Pawnee Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will LaCrosse turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
