Williams Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Marian Catholic since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will take on Marian Catholic at 1:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Williams Valley has three straight wins, Marian Catholic has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Williams Valley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Nativity BVM as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kamri Koppenhaver was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Audrina Fry, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Williams Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nativity BVM only posted a batting average of .077.
Meanwhile, Marian Catholic lost 16-2 to Minersville on Tuesday.
Williams Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Marian Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Everything went Williams Valley's way against Marian Catholic when the teams last played back in March, as Williams Valley made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
