Basketball Recap: Kaiden Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Creekside Christian Academy over Osborne

Creekside Christian Academy lost against Osborne back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars and the Osborne Cardinals didn't end well, with the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars falling 54-37.

Creekside Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Williams, who posted 11 points. Williams has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Chase Maddox was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Creekside Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Creekside Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Osborne, they moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

As for Osborne, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Mays at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Mays' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
