After flying high against Comstock two weeks ago, Leakey came back down to earth. The Leakey Eagles took a 36-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Medina Bobcats on Tuesday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leakey's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Medina, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Leakey will square off against Knippa at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Medina, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Medina Bobcats duke it out with the Nueces Canyon Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Medina has won three straight at home, while Nueces Canyon won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
