Kehillah is 2-8 against Summit Shasta since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Kehillah Rams will head out on the road to take on the Summit Shasta Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kehillah comes in on six and Summit Shasta on nine.
After only one point in their last matchup, Kehillah made sure to put some points up on the board against Pacific Bay Christian on Thursday. Kehillah walked away with a 60-52 win over Pacific Bay Christian.
Ittai Kohavi and Bodhi Gemello were among the main playmakers for Kehillah as the former almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds and the latter scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gemello has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ian Cohen, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Summit Shasta gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 76-25 win over Design Tech. Given Summit Shasta's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Design Tech is ranked 1266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kehillah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Summit Shasta, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
Kehillah took a serious blow against Summit Shasta in their previous meeting back in January, falling 67-35. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kehillah was down 34-9.
