The Miami Warriors will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Nazareth Swifts at 8:00 p.m. Miami knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Nazareth likes a good challenge.
Miami stacked a ninth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat White Deer 45-0 at home. Given Miami's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 13th, while White Deer is ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Haiden Thompson, who rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 129 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes. Luke Wheeler was another key contributor, gaining 76 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Nazareth put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 56-6 victory over Wildorado at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Nazareth.
Miami pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Nazareth, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Everything came up roses for Miami against Nazareth when the teams last played back in October as the team secured a 48-0 victory. Will Miami repeat their success, or does Nazareth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
