Even though the Pillager Huskies scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, the Upsala Cardinals still came out on top. Upsala walked away with a 69-58 victory over Pillager. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Upsala.
Upsala's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isabel Ripplinger led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ripplinger has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brenna Graves, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
The win got Upsala back to even at 7-7. As for Pillager, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Upsala will head out on the road to square off against Pierz at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pillager, they will be playing at home against Menahga at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
