The Apaches have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.
Nogales was led to victory by Cecilia Burruel and Arlette Munoz. Burruel went 8 for 18 on her way to 19 points and six steals, while Munoz went 6 of 11 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Those six assists gave Munoz a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Johanna Simpson, who posted eight points in addition to eight steals and five boards.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Nogales was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Sahmare'E Whatley and Akayla Hernandez certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Whatley had seven points and three steals, while Hernandez put up eight points.
