Basketball Recap: Aiden Scheidler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bloomingdale over Calvary Temple

If Bloomingdale was riding high fresh off their 80-46 takedown of West Logan Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bloomingdale Blazers took a hard 50-33 fall against Calvary Temple on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blazers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 96th in West Virginia, while Calvary Temple are ranked 398th in Virginia).

Bloomingdale's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Scheidler, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Scheidler has been hot recently, having also posted three or more blocks the last three times he's played. Caden Dunkle was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Bloomingdale's record is now 16-9. As for Calvary Temple, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Bloomingdale has already played their next game, a 53-42 win against Reimer Road Baptist Christian on the 7th. As for Calvary Temple, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 42-31 loss against HEARTS for Jesus Christ on the 8th.
