Waskom has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Arp Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Waskom earned a 65-54 win over West Rusk.
Meanwhile, Arp's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 36-23 win over Elysian Fields.
Waskom's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Arp, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-18.
Everything came up roses for Waskom against Arp in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 67-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waskom since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
