The West Columbus Vikings entered their tilt with the South Columbus Stallions with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. West Columbus came out on top in a nail-biter against South Columbus on Friday and snuck past 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
West Columbus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Bellamy, who scored eight points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Triston Freeman, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
West Columbus has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for South Columbus, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-11.
West Columbus will head out on the road to challenge Pender at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Columbus is facing Pender at the right time seeing as Pender is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for South Columbus, they will be playing at home against Heide Trask at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
