The Community Christian Chargers were the 52-51 winner over the Wakulla Christian School Saints when they last played one another on January 11th, but their luck changed this time around. Community Christian was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 43-42 to the Saints. Community Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wakulla Christian School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Langston Stephens, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Bourgeois, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wakulla Christian School, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-14.
Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wakulla Christian School will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Liberty County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
