Old Town has gone 8-2 against Mount Desert Island recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Coyotes will welcome the Trojans at 1:00 p.m. Old Town's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Mount Desert Island's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Old Town's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Presque Isle by a score of 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Not much got past Alex McCannell, who gave up just four hits to keep Presque Isle off the board. McCannell also tossed no walks, which is notable because Old Town is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nate Baker, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Mount Desert Island lost 13-4 to John Bapst Memorial on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered against the Crusaders since May 2, 2022.
Preston Tripp put in work no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Tripp was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Tripp wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Grierson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Mount Desert Island's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Old Town, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Old Town has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mount Desert Island struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
