Valor Christian extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Ralston Valley, 49-20. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Eagles.
Valor Christian took down the Mustangs 49-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. A.J. Cecil threw for 277 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 30 yards during the win.
Rod Sherman's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Christian McCaffrey chipped in 121 yards. Eric Lee Jr. helped Valor Christian's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 58 yards.
Cecil put up the best numbers in passing as the Eagles bested Ralston Valley. Cecil's favorite target this week was McCaffrey, who caught 6 passes for 109 yards.
Valor Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cecil has thrown for 1,768 yards and 28 touchdowns this season, while McCaffrey has 26 catches for 533 yards.
Valor Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 69 from 187. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 49-20 victory over Matt Loyd's team last week.
