Pine Island lost against Cannon Falls back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell 5-1 to the Bombers. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Landon Lowrie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Pine Island's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Cannon Falls, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Coming up, Pine Island will face off against Minnehaha Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cannon Falls will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' contest: after the Panthers face off against Hastings, they'll take on Cannon Falls again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
