The Kecoughtan Warriors will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Churchland Truckers at 3:00 p.m. on December 30th. Kecoughtan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Churchland is ranked 67th).
Kecoughtan pushed their score all the way to 55 last Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norcom.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Marcel Pace, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Suber, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Churchland entered their tilt with Bethel with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Churchland came out on top against Bethel by a score of 62-50 on Saturday. That's two games straight that Churchland has won by exactly 12 points.
Kecoughtan now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Churchland, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Everything went Kecoughtan's way against Churchland in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as Kecoughtan made off with a 65-41 victory. Does Kecoughtan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Churchland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
