The Meadowcreek Mustangs lost against the Peachtree Ridge Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Meadowcreek took a 54-37 bruising from Peachtree Ridge. Meadowcreek has not had much luck with Peachtree Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Despite the loss, Meadowcreek still got an impressive performance from Justin Vernon, who scored ten points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Damari Wright, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meadowcreek's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Peachtree Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Meadowcreek will be playing at home against North Gwinnett at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meadowcreek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while North Gwinnett is ranked 71st). As for Peachtree Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Duluth at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
