The Johnson Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Midtown Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Johnson is ranked 390th, while Midtown is ranked 405th).
Johnson never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Clarkston last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Angoras 35-6 at home.
Demetri Moon looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Moon was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards.
Midtown fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 21-6 victory over Stone Mountain on Friday.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 4-5.
Johnson was dealt a bruising 36-7 loss at the hands of Midtown when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can Johnson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
