Regents is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will welcome the Lee Academy Colts at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Regents is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Rossville Christian Academy on Friday. The Lions strolled past the Wolves with points to spare, taking the game 35-19.

It was another big night for Zane Hill, who threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 96 yards and one score. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Wade Hill, who picked up 91 receiving yards and one TD.
Regents didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hill and Will Hopson. Hopson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Lee Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Indianola Academy 42-0. The Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.
Regents better keep an eye on Desi Monix. He was instrumental in Lee Academy's win, rushing for 235 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Kacyy Curtis, who rushed for 51 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lee Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 362 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Lee Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points over those games. As for Regents, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Regents has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 285.8 passing yards per game. Lee Academy, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 251.3 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
