The Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Johnson Pumas at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Wednesday, Perspectives-IIT/Joslin was able to grind out a solid win over Curie, taking the game 54-47.
Perspectives-IIT/Joslin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leilani Laws, who scored 22 points. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Laws has scored at least a third of Perspectives-IIT/Joslin's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Robinson, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Johnson can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 65-22 victory over Bulls College Prep. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Johnson has posted since December 19, 2023.
Johnson can attribute much of their success to Le'Andra Hill, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds, and Destiny Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Taylor hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Kaylynn Arnold, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Perspectives-IIT/Joslin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Johnson, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Perspectives-IIT/Joslin was taken down by Johnson 64-35 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds.
